Necklace "Sunburst Collar"
Necklace "Sunburst Collar"
Some collars sit; this one radiates. A net of seed beads closes softly around the neck, and from its edge the rays break outward — triangular points worked row by narrowing row, each one finished with a faceted crystal — so the whole piece reads like a sun drawn by someone who knew exactly what a sun should look like.
One pattern, three skies: Grey — black net with silver-grey rays and clear iridescent crystals at the tips: a winter sun through frost. Black — black from net to tip, the crystals catching light only when you move: an eclipse. Black & Gold — a gold edge at the neckline and gold crystals along every ray: the sun at its proudest.
Each colour is worked by hand and exists once. Arrives gift-ready.
Czech glass seed beads, faceted glass crystals, stainless-steel lobster clasp. Recommendations: do not wet, protect from chemicals and perfume, store flat. Handcrafted; measurements are approximate.

Folk motifs carry meanings older than writing — poppies guard the home, wheat calls the harvest, birds watch over travellers.

Field note № 7
Beads for the night side
Black glass has a long memory: Victorian mourning jewellery was strung from it, and a black-ground gerdan makes every red burn brighter. Our skulls, bats and serpents are beaded exactly like the poppies — the same seed beads, the same hands in Ukraine — only the motifs have changed.
